~Cover Girl~

Monday, January 18th, 2010

We had the magnificent opportunity to do a photo shoot for Travelhost Wedding Guide for Genesee County, MI. Our excitement is that we are in print again after publishing our first work The Bliss Book, now we are proudly on someone else’s cover.

I wanted to share our shoot details with you because we had some great vendors involved and honestly it was a fun time and you might be inspired by the look we created. We had some major last minute venue changes, time restrictions and little time to do this but we pulled it together and rocked.

The venue was the Woodfield Banquet Center in Grand Blanc, MI. This is the location where My Big Fat Genesee Wedding ~ Wedding Show will be held this year, the date is January 24th. It’s a very unique and beautiful facility to have a great wedding. Check it out!

Stay tuned because we will be brining you the details as to where we found our inspiration on how we created both the hair and make-up looks.  Don’t forget to share the love and comment!

It’s Etsy time again and the newest favorite finds.  The stage is set and the spotlight is on The Redheaded Actress. I spotted her sweet adornments, especially her headbands, and had to share the love.

The Redheaded Actress:

My love of crafting began at the ripe old age of three, when my Godmother started teaching me how to use a glue gun. Ever since then, I’ve been crafting up a storm and loving every second of it. When I got engaged, I put my crafting savvy to use to save us money and make our wedding as unique as we are, which kicked my crafting love into overdrive!

Check out her headbands for the everyday girl or for bridesmaids.  We have also paired her accessories with some suggested looks from Bliss.  Don’t forget to comment.  xoxo

So I have to tell you I got the best christmas present.  I had a thought/question when I was showing it to one of my friends,  why had they made it in Blue.   Duh, it’s something blue.

Tiffany’s is one of my most favorite jewelry places on earth.  But sadly,  only can afford the little bobbles of Tiffany’s.  I got the catalog right around Thanksgiving and I was just  going to throw it away, beyond budget I thought.  But I had to peak…There it was in Blue, a necklace I had seen & loved,  on a waitress when I was visiting in NY.  But her’s of course may had been a diamond, they do have the swanky platinum & diamond versions.  But this necklace is so dainty and simple & I loved the blue much better.

I am introducing it to all of you,  because it can be such a great gift to a bride…Hey brides,  such a great gift to yourself.  The price of $125, can’t beat that.   They also have a bracelet to match.  I think I am on a mission for that next, can we say Birthday present.

It’s your something simple and blue….Check it out you will love it!!!

~Adorned with original creations~

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

I didn’t know the greatness of what I found until I read more.  True Blind Faith: their inspiration pieces are previously loved vintage jewels and findings that originally began life as brooches, bracelets, earrings or other adornments.  I have to tell you my love for this because I have adorned so much with vintage brooches and earrings.   But to see the artistry that True Blind Faith has combined with vintage makes me happy inside.  I don’t even try to pretend to create mine,  I just attach them to the head so I am in awe of the creativeness.

Vision Statement

True Blind Faith was created to help brides define their personal style on their wedding day.  We believe that every bride should be adorned with original creations to allow her own unique style and personality shine through.  New designs are consistently born into our collections which include various styles of tiaras, vines, combs and headbands.
