Here are some star studded hair trends as we walk ourselves into 2011. From the low loose chignon that is always classic and portrayed in a side fashion, with or without wispies. To the high and mighty Aubrey Hepburn esque buns that will rock any runway. The re-invented side pony with structured curls that rock with a soft side bang. Roll with the braid, change it up and put it on the top, center of attention. Finally soft & classic, an oldy brought back to new-by.
Rock in 2011 with your own star studded hair!

I wanted to share a photo shoot we worked on with several other stylist and make-up artist for the Ann Arbor Derby Dimes. The Derby girls are a women’s skater owned league. You can find out more about them by visiting http://a2derbydimes.org/.
If you’re looking for retro inspired inspiration for your event here are perfect fun options. These are some of our creations from short to long & make-up that is soft to strong. I’m loving how the last look turned out for those of you with short hair. Glam diva with smokin hot make-up and the hair gives a sophisticated edge to a short styles. Pop a birdcage and away you go.
We had so much fun working with the a2 derby girls and coming up with looks for them. Happy inspiration to you!

We are so excited about the look we created in our all local Michigan bridal shoot. The shoot was featured this week on Emmaline Bride, make sure to visit Emmaline’s blog post to see all the details.
This shoot was created to inspire & to create a look that is fashion forward. Braids have been the style for the past couple of years but they always need a fresh path. This braid was created to bring height to the front but to only be seen at certain angles. The curls were done with multiple irons creating depth and texture. The second look was created quickly to give you the option of another style for your event.
Her make-up was a sultry eye with soft lids creating her bright blue eyes to pop. Pretty pink lips to be bold! Don’t forget your lashes girls for the pics, they make your eyes stand out. The lash choice for her was individual lashes. Make sure to check with you make-up artist for the best lash choice for you.
