I was given the opportunity to speak at the wedding workshop by Erica Gregory owner of E-vents. What a privilege and great idea to give local brides the opportunity to hear directly from the experts. If you are ever given the chance to attend a Bridal Luncheon, do so. You will find yourself hearing directly from Vendors you may want to hire or just hear their expert advice.

For my talk I covered how to prepare the hair prior to your wedding day. This plays a major role in your hair holding, the control of fuzziness & it will be the canvas on which your stylist will perform their work.

I prepared three models with separate looks and gave choices of veil placement, flower choice and pins. I am a firm believer that we all need visual aids & ideas, to help in leading us to the final look.

If you will notice Bea's hairstyle if very similar to The Bliss Book cover, it's just modified to fit her. The large flower is perfect for her daintiness.

Because Bea's features are so small I wanted to give her heights and bring it away from her her beautiful face slightly.

This is one of my favorite choices. A bride at one time had me place at least ten Stephanotis flowers in her soft, loose up do. It was a perfect option to not wearing a veil.

Originally I had crytal pins but I decided to give a fun summer option with gerber dasies. This look is very structured and you can do many things with it. Veil, pins, flowers.......

I was recently at a bridal show and had recommended a bride, who was looking for a birdcage veil, to search on Etsy.com. Etsy is the place to buy and sell all things handmade. I have found a lot of beautiful things on Etsy and some very talented individuals. I am all about supporting those who use their talents to make beautiful things. Tis the season of bridal planning events. It’s time for you to start planning your perfect event so find your perfect wedding show take your mother, maid of honor, your wedding planner or your fiance if he is a planner himself. You can meet your local vendors personally and sometimes they will offer special booking deals at the event. Don’t forget to stay for the giveaways because they can be quite good and you don’t want to miss them.

Gwen's cakes are yummy...I was at another event with her, love her white cake with vanilla creme. She is located in Saline, MI check out my vendor tag on a more detailed blog post about her.

She was so fabulous, I just had to take a picture with her. The veil was so perfect with this hairstyle, so grand and elegant.

Perfect match the straight cut dress, high structured hair, striking birdcage with pizzazz. Even in the back the pins were left. Girls your Bridal salon will be so helpful in helping you choose your veil/pins and your stylist will be helpful in placing them. No worries we will help you make your decisions.

It’s what you dream of, it’s what you envision and it’s who you are. You may be simple, or complicated, not care at all or you may be very precise about what you desire. What you place in your hair may also depend on the shape of the hair, the detail, the height. It can all depend on your dress and it’s details, shape and cut. OH, all these decisions. But most of all it’s who you are and what you desire.

Jolie chose simple and classic. It’s soft like her dress and the simpleness of her hair expresses who she is. She is a classic beauty. Less is more.

Sara is structured and again classic. It’s contained under her beautiful veil that she chose to wear during her ceremony that floated in the wind outside. It went beautifully with her low back dress. Her hair was low and had beautiful crystal hair pins placed to the side for later when she removed her veil. The placement of a low veil is so beautiful.

Peggy is a classic goddess. She has ordained herself with a tiara and who would not want to be a princess for a day. Simple but a bold statement of crowning glory and they come in all sizes. This perfectly matches her beautiful down style. This is a replicated style of her wedding day for The Bliss Book.

Lindsey is beachy and fun. She has ordained herself with a beautiful orchid straight from a Key West garden. Keeping in mind a flower that will with stand the heat and tighter curls that will hold in the humidity. Sometimes as a bride you have to think of reality in the heat, she could have never done a veil she was wise to flower it up with natural beauty instead.

Jenny chose high and classic. She has doubled up the fun with ordained and veiled. She was the bride that had envisioned her look from the very beginning from hair, tiara, veil placement. She had plenty of height in her hair to push her veil up in the back. Her look was complete and matched her dreams.

Imagine Three hard at work & inspired by Bliss.

We had a fun and busy weekend at the bridal show at The Hilton Garden Inn Perrysburg, Ohio. This was our first time at this show and we were able to do some of the hair and make-up. I must say I had a great time and it’s always fun to create and then watch it walk the runway.

This is a great show for brides that are looking for vendors and want a not so overwhelming meet and greet. This was a bridal show that was on a smaller scale. Maybe 200-250 attended which allowed everyone to browse and talk with the vendors. If you are in the area there will be another show with U and I bridal show December 27th. If you are not in the area brides, look for a smaller shows that will cater to your needs.

This was fabulous!

There is nothing better than looking your best and doing it on a budget…

I was walking through the mall on a mission and there it was, all it’s overflowing tables of goodness. Forever 21 is the best place to find fun hair accessories even if you have only $2 to spend, there is something for you. So I got a couple of things to play with and give some examples of fun. If you want to spice up your bridesmaid dress or your party outfit Forever has it. So many goodies to choose from you won’t have the same as the next girl. Brides don’t exclude yourselves, I also think anyone of these can be used in your hair. Plus I saw a pretty large white headband with a white flower on it. A pop of color in your hair to match your flowers would be awesome. So get your butt to Forever 21 and accessorize yourself up. With these prices you can go back again and again.

Off they went to Cancun to celebrate their new marriage. Jolie and Sean were married this weekend on the 4th of July surrounded by family and friends at the Christian Fellowship in Holland, Ohio. They will be starting their new lives together in Fairborn, Ohio and we wish them much love and happiness.

Jolie is also my cousin and gave me the privilege of doing her hair for her wedding day. She is a simple and classic girl. She had given me plenty of ideas for her wedding day and wanted me to work with her natural curl. Low, loose and simple is what she wanted. She was a happy girl and that’s what we like to see. She made a stunning bride do you all agree?

She loves it large, gotta love it!

I am going to refer back to a previous post, Communicate with your stylist. My favorite girlz have given me challenges this week of creating these crazy beautiful do’s but along with them they have given me references. For weeks we have been talking about the events to come and they on their own came up with pictures even though they know I can work the magic. I still want ideas because sometimes I want to see what they themselves visually see in their heads. So even though we may not get exactly what the picture is we come up with our own twist of fun. So again bring your tools to communicate!

She found her inspirations from a magazine. She found two different looks that were very similar. What was important to her was height, the largeness of it and being fabulous!

So my Suela had this crazy inspiration and we named it the lobster tail. She like the affect of height of the top and the brade which I thought to be a fish tail. Yikes had to create a base for this one.
