First, start from within, HYDRATE! Be sure to drink plenty of water before and during your big day.  Also, moisturize!! The better hydrated you are, the less oil and shine your skin will produce, which can make things get blotchy. Your body and skin will thank you and your makeup will go on smoother, more natural and it will last longer.

Primers are the best insurance for makeup lasting 18+ hours. Products go on smoother and evenly, pores and lines are smoothed, oil absorbed, and blotches and creases are avoided.  You can find primers for foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, and lip anything! Since your foundation is the canvas for the rest of your look, making it last and continue to look flawless has been made easier with primer. For eyes, a primer is like sticky tape for your eyeshadow. The pigment is intensified, blending is easier, and it stays in place and perfect all day. There are some that help neutralize red eyelids, some that look like a shimmery nude eyeshadow, or you can have a clear blank canvas to start out.
