It was the Bridal Event of the season, taking over three Ballrooms at The Inn at St. John’s.

Whimsical Occasions put another beautiful show on. There was vendor’s galore, including one of our favorites ShutterBooth.

Again we created new looks always inspired by Bliss for you to be inspired. Check out the peacock feather fascinator created by Nyjole Jewellery on Etsy.

~Wearable Confections~

I am in love with LoBoheme, their variety of creativity and how they are inspired. ~ and most of all LOVE stimulate our creative juices…our wearable confections are the result. LoBoheme:  Lauren (Lo), Josh, and Tank Christensen.

I found LoBoheme on Etsy and they have been featured in magazines such as Well Wed Magazine, Southern Weddings Magazine, Exquisite Weddings Magazine.  I fell in love because of the clear presence of creativity and passion put into these items.  I once tried to make a feather piece and let me tell you, not easy.  Bravo to LoBoheme for creating such an array of hair accessory love.

We are Lo Boheme…vintage inspired accessories, a small San Diego based design team of three.  We love to create things out of feathers, vintage jewelry, gorgeous veiling, millinery trims, pretty much anything old, delicate, and eye catching! We also love to do custom pieces and believe that some of our best and most creative work have been specially contracted. If you want something unique for your special day, you need look no further than LoBoheme!
So many people, so much love, endless inspiration!

I wanted to share with you one of my brides who found inspiration with Bliss.  I met Lauren when I did her best friends wedding this past summer in Key West, she swore up and down that her hair would not stay.  But even in the Key West humidity we got it to stay and our beautiful relationship began.

A lot goes in to preparing yourself for your event and it all begins with the right stylist.  Communication about what you want and don’t want.   Finding the right communication tools to be able to visualize these looks.  The job as a stylist starts by digging deep and knowing who that person is on a daily basis, the look of their dress, what their hair is like and what the bride is visualizing in her mind.

Lauren had given me pictures of her dress and she had gone through The Bliss Book and had chosen several looks.  She liked the idea of all of them.  We needed to pick what would look the best on her, what would allow a veil and look the best with her dress.  By using these examples and why she liked them, because they were up controlled and they still had texture, we could together reach her look with ease.  You can see her choices below.

The ending was perfect…She was an elegant beautiful bride.  Her hair complimented her, who she is, her dress and completed her look.  Congratulations Lauren & Dave!
