We had the magnificent opportunity to do a photo shoot for Travelhost Wedding Guide for Genesee County, MI. Our excitement is that we are in print again after publishing our first work The Bliss Book, now we are proudly on someone else’s cover.

I wanted to share our shoot details with you because we had some great vendors involved and honestly it was a fun time and you might be inspired by the look we created. We had some major last minute venue changes, time restrictions and little time to do this but we pulled it together and rocked.

The venue was the Woodfield Banquet Center in Grand Blanc, MI. This is the location where My Big Fat Genesee Wedding ~ Wedding Show will be held this year, the date is January 24th. It’s a very unique and beautiful facility to have a great wedding. Check it out!

Tis the season of bridal planning events. It’s time for you to start planning your perfect event so find your perfect wedding show take your mother, maid of honor, your wedding planner or your fiance if he is a planner himself. You can meet your local vendors personally and sometimes they will offer special booking deals at the event. Don’t forget to stay for the giveaways because they can be quite good and you don’t want to miss them.

The structured hair even went perfectly with the softness of the dress.

This is a look straight from The Bliss Book...little girls with curls are my favorite and most practical. We placed a braid at the bottom back for fun. Look how pretty and sweet she looks.

Who ever thought of parasols is genius what a beautiful idea. I love them you can even get them personalized.

A great style for a bride, bridesmaid or for a formal event. This is the back view of the parasol bride.

A fun way to place your curly hair~pile it high let some trail. Another inspired look from The Bliss Book.

All of the flowers, including the bouquets, were provided by Uniquely Yours flower shop in Northville, MI.

Gwen's cakes are yummy...I was at another event with her, love her white cake with vanilla creme. She is located in Saline, MI check out my vendor tag on a more detailed blog post about her.

She was so fabulous, I just had to take a picture with her. The veil was so perfect with this hairstyle, so grand and elegant.

Perfect match the straight cut dress, high structured hair, striking birdcage with pizzazz. Even in the back the pins were left. Girls your Bridal salon will be so helpful in helping you choose your veil/pins and your stylist will be helpful in placing them. No worries we will help you make your decisions.

She was so beautiful. This is a veil choice I am loving right now with the flower or you can choose other options. Her hair was very structured but it allows her face to show, the flower to be showcased and her veil to flow. So soft and elegant.

I got to meet the owner, super nice and she was telling me how she pulled over to teach a limo full of teenagers how to do a dance on they way to their event. Now that is customer service.

Thrifty Florist:

I am amazed really at the budget friendly Thrifty Florist and because of the great flower arrangements they have produced. Plus, I did get to spend the day watching them work, what great customer service and people pleasing skills they have. They pride themselves in working within your budget, to create a beautiful, elegant event that you can be proud of. Providing their clients with traditional and contemporary designs for the best prices in town.

I love flower, so I kept snapping pictures. So I have plenty pictures of arrangements for you to see and one I got to keep at the end.

You will be surprised because they are my least favorite flowers but Thrifty Florist made them work!

It's the carnation ball, I took it home....It's one of my least favorite flowers...But I love what they did with it, so cool!

Action Rental:

You name it they should have it for your event. Action Rental located in Ypsilanti, MI, even has a cotton candy machine. They provided the tables, lines, glassware, dinnerware, chairs, tent, back wall drops for the Bridal show event. They have a complete price list online you can visit. Gwen’s Cake Decorating & Etc:

So I had Gwen’s cake and I had like two pieces. So good and usually wedding cake is to sweet for me but I had her white cake with the peanut butter creme filling and it was good. Then I had taken a piece home for my husband and I was so hungry and just wanted a taste to see how the vanilla creme tasted. Seriously I ate the whole piece on the way home and then told my husband, what a pig. This cake was delic, moist and tasted like cake and you know why it’s because she doesn’t freeze them. It had texture like homemade cake and the butter creme frosting was yummy for all of you who love butter creme.

Chef House Catering:

YUMMY! Traver Lucas brought with him a cucumber sorbet and you would never think of such a thing. I thought at first it would be a different taste but it was sweet and had the clean taste of cucumber. It was so simple and light I could have eaten a whole bowl full, I am craving it now. They suggested it would be a perfect dish for a shower or a brunch.

Chef House Catering located in Canton, MI , is a personal chef service that will come to handle your event. Large or small they have the service to suite your needs. Chef House Catering also works with some local venues, contact them for more information. They also do sample tastings so that you can reach your perfect menu for your event.
