When seeing the final product of our classically modern bride and all of her perfectly placed plans fall into place, it was stunning. Her hair & make-up could not have been more perfect for her.

As the hairstylist she came to me with two different hairstyle looks that she wanted to combine into one. My most favorite part about this was they were both from The Bliss Book. In the front a swooped bang making room for her birdcage headband. In the back the style working over to one side with soft looping curls and in the open spaces placing special pearls from an old necklace.

Her make-up is a modern take on a classic old Hollywood look. By taking the lip and making it a little more bride friendly. The lip is bold but not a traditional red, more of an earthy deep mauve. The eye is a softer smoldering lid using steel grey & a warm champagne. Glamming it up with false lashes creating a bolder look.
Happy inspiration to you!

This year has been the year of Big Bun Love. But this big bun has transformed to fit my lovely, statuesque & beautiful friend. It’s soft allowing the bun to blend with her full bang marrying the two perfectly. I love giving my friend big hair to match her own fabulous style. The wedding was a grand & elegant affair so her stunning hair was a match.
Don’t be fooled this style can be worn for a red carpet event, black tie event or even for a bride.

We are so excited about the look we created in our all local Michigan bridal shoot. The shoot was featured this week on Emmaline Bride, make sure to visit Emmaline’s blog post to see all the details.
This shoot was created to inspire & to create a look that is fashion forward. Braids have been the style for the past couple of years but they always need a fresh path. This braid was created to bring height to the front but to only be seen at certain angles. The curls were done with multiple irons creating depth and texture. The second look was created quickly to give you the option of another style for your event.
Her make-up was a sultry eye with soft lids creating her bright blue eyes to pop. Pretty pink lips to be bold! Don’t forget your lashes girls for the pics, they make your eyes stand out. The lash choice for her was individual lashes. Make sure to check with you make-up artist for the best lash choice for you.

One Little Dove on Etsy is handmade love. Birdcage and a headband all in one, how could you not want it. First of all its user friendly and you can adjust it forward, back & off to the side a little. Just put it on and go, just how we like it without all the fuss.
You have double hair inspiration today for this sweet little birdcage. The style in the picture is simple and soft. The Bliss Book style is a little more detailed but still will allow room for the veil.
Happy inspiration!

Voila, there it is! I was flipping through the pages of Real Simple and stunning is was I found. I have been looking for my inspiration hair for my role as Matron of Honor this coming up March. You can read more in my previous blog posts #1 & #2. But here I found classic and beautiful trends to lead us into fall.

Had to blog it, because it’s Big Bun LOVE! Hilary Duff’s bun is a little out of the norm and protruding but why not. Dare to be different.
This year for 2010 I have already swung in the direction for big buns (see below) and they come in all shapes and sizes. Different locations on your head and can be adorned in many ways or simply left alone. They change shape and form to fit whatever it is you like. So much fun! Enjoy the bun bonanza and be inspired.

I just wanted to stay on Peppermint Pretty’s site to listen to the great music while I drooled over dresses. I love playing the game of matching hairstyles, dress & accessory. The center of inspiration for this post, is the dress. You usually always begin first with your dress then the accessory & your hair most of the time will follow. You can go full fledge vintage with this dress choice or throw in a bit of modern.
The hairstyles of choice range from swept back with softness, classic french with a twist, straight up victory roll with pin curls & down with an edge of vintage. Adorn any one of these hairstyles with fun choice pics below of some of my favorite artist. Click on the pic to visit their sweet adornments and Peppermint Pretty to find your dress!

To die for hair! Big bun was what I heard from my bride and no fear she had of it. In fact, the bigger the better. I was so excited to see the pictures and her photographer JCL Portraits so graciously allowed me to snag some of her great shots. She has managed to capture the brides fun style, but elegant hot bun love.
The inspiration from this look came from our Travelhost Wedding Guide cover shot. Changed, altered and perfected to suit her on her special day. Happy hair inspiration to you!
