It was the Bridal Event of the season, taking over three Ballrooms at The Inn at St. John’s.
Whimsical Occasions put another beautiful show on. There was vendor’s galore, including one of our favorites ShutterBooth.

We love Shutterbooth! Again we meet at the Whimsical Occasions Wedding Event and had to have our photo op. What great people and great pictures, Thank you!! I did a little one on one interview with one of my beloved friend, client and event planner Courtney McDonald of Petals Planning. Being in the same industry we often refer back and forth with brides and clients that may need our expertise. It helps to know someone personally and know what they are capable of providing for your clients.
Petals Planning is wonderfully priced and do able especially for your day of. Being an on sight person and providing a service the day of an event I often see the craziness, things forgotten and the need for many extra hands. So why not have the go to. Answer all. Make you not crazy on your day girls.

“Most brides have been planning their wedding (at least in their head) for years before the actual engagement. Weddings are among the best and most joyous days of a couples life. All eyes are on the bride, and her fantastic wedding. Thank you ShutterBooth! It was the end of the day at the Whimsical Occasions Bridal Event yesterday and it had been a great day but I wanted to round my sisters up and go into the ShutterBooth, because how much fun would that be. I loved going into these things when I was younger and these are by far the best idea for weddings. ShutterBooth, thank you for letting us go in even though it was the end of the day! Check out our crazy pics below, I wish you could see them in real life even better.

We had the magnificent opportunity to do a photo shoot for Travelhost Wedding Guide for Genesee County, MI. Our excitement is that we are in print again after publishing our first work The Bliss Book, now we are proudly on someone else’s cover.
I wanted to share our shoot details with you because we had some great vendors involved and honestly it was a fun time and you might be inspired by the look we created. We had some major last minute venue changes, time restrictions and little time to do this but we pulled it together and rocked.
The venue was the Woodfield Banquet Center in Grand Blanc, MI. This is the location where My Big Fat Genesee Wedding ~ Wedding Show will be held this year, the date is January 24th. It’s a very unique and beautiful facility to have a great wedding. Check it out!

This is a look straight from The Bliss Book...little girls with curls are my favorite and most practical. We placed a braid at the bottom back for fun. Look how pretty and sweet she looks.
Who ever thought of parasols is genius what a beautiful idea. I love them you can even get them personalized.
A great style for a bride, bridesmaid or for a formal event. This is the back view of the parasol bride.

Gwen's cakes are yummy...I was at another event with her, love her white cake with vanilla creme. She is located in Saline, MI check out my vendor tag on a more detailed blog post about her.
She was so fabulous, I just had to take a picture with her. The veil was so perfect with this hairstyle, so grand and elegant.
Perfect match the straight cut dress, high structured hair, striking birdcage with pizzazz. Even in the back the pins were left. Girls your Bridal salon will be so helpful in helping you choose your veil/pins and your stylist will be helpful in placing them. No worries we will help you make your decisions.
She was so beautiful. This is a veil choice I am loving right now, with the flower or you can choose other options such as a brooch or hair pins. Her hair was very structured but it allows her face to show, the flower to be showcased and her veil to flow. The look is so soft and elegant.

You name it they should have it for your event. Action Rental located in Ypsilanti, MI, even has a cotton candy machine. They provided the tables, lines, glassware, dinnerware, chairs, tent, back wall drops for the Bridal show event. They have a complete price list online you can visit. Gwen’s Cake Decorating & Etc:
So I had Gwen’s cake and I had like two pieces. So good and usually wedding cake is to sweet for me but I had her white cake with the peanut butter creme filling and it was good. Then I had taken a piece home for my husband and I was so hungry and just wanted a taste to see how the vanilla creme tasted. Seriously I ate the whole piece on the way home and then told my husband, what a pig. This cake was delic, moist and tasted like cake and you know why it’s because she doesn’t freeze them. It had texture like homemade cake and the butter creme frosting was yummy for all of you who love butter creme. Chef House Catering:
YUMMY! Traver Lucas brought with him a cucumber sorbet and you would never think of such a thing. I thought at first it would be a different taste but it was sweet and had the clean taste of cucumber. It was so simple and light I could have eaten a whole bowl full, I am craving it now. They suggested it would be a perfect dish for a shower or a brunch. Chef House Catering located in Canton, MI , is a personal chef service that will come to handle your event. Large or small they have the service to suite your needs. Chef House Catering also works with some local venues, contact them for more information.
